TLV1 — BGU researchers are becoming regular guests on TLV1 radio’s Tel Aviv Review program dedicated to the word, thoughts and debate.
The most recent episode of the podcast starts off with an interview with BGU’s Dr. Sarab Abu Rabia-Queder, the first Bedoiun woman in Israel to receive her Ph.D.
A member of the Bona Terra Department of Man in the Desert at the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, Dr. Abu Rabia-Queder focuses on the impact of higher education on Bedouin women when they go back to their communities. She shares her personal story as well as the findings of her research.
The second part of the program features Prof. Amit Schejter, head of BGU’s Department of Communication Studies. He discusses who controls the media in Israel, focusing on the multitude of electronic media outlets that exist in this small country.
