Prof. Emeritus Shaul Ladany of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management was elected to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame for his record-breaking race-walking career.

He will participate in an induction ceremony, held once every four years, in July 2013 at the 19th World Maccabiah Games.

Over more than 50 years, Prof. Ladany accomplished both athletic and academic distinction. He trained in race-walking while actively pursuing a career as a scientist in the industrial engineering and management field.
