BGU has launched a new website in Chinese highlighting the University’s international graduate study programs, which are all taught in English. The site greets potential Chinese students in their own language, provides basic information about BGU, and directs interested students to more information about studying at the University.

“As part of our efforts to enhance and expand our ties with Chinese academia, to foster research collaborations as well as attract outstanding Chinese students for masters, Ph.D. and post-docs to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, we have just launched this website, which will increase our exposure in China,” says Dr. Stavi Baram, director of the Office of International Academic Affairs.

In an effort to increase the number of international students at BGU, the University offers several fully funded programs for students from China.

“With the support of the Israel Council for Higher Education, we offer full scholarships for outstanding Chinese candidates who would like to study for their master’s degree at the Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies, focusing on desert studies or hydrology and water research,” says Dr. Baram. “There’s another fully funded international summer course in the field of global health, which will take place this July.”
