Dr. Shahar Abramovitch, who completed both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees at Ben-Gurion University (BGU), followed by a doctorate at the Weizmann Institute for Science and post-doctorate at University of Massachusetts, has recently returned to BGU as the newly appointed director of the Jusidman Science Center for Youth.

Native to Beer-Sheva, Dr. Abramovitch knows first-hand the impact that STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education has on under-resourced communities in the Negev and makes it his life mission to providing accessibility to quality education for all.
