Dr. Daniel Gordis, Senior Vice President and Koret Distinguished Fellow at Shalem College in Jerusalem, joined us as the keynote speaker on October 22 for the A4BGU Annual Meeting. His remarks discuss what Israel will need to move forward after the atrocities that occurred on October 7, as well as his personal connection to the current conflict.

“How are we going to go forward? …What you hear people say time and time again is it is all going to depend on who takes the reigns. It’s all going to depend on who’s in charge then. And you hear more than one person say what we are going to need is Ben-Gurion. We are going to need someone with profound vision, somebody with extraordinary courage. But what David Ben-Gurion understood, as many of his biographers have pointed out, was that mattered to the Jewish people more than anything else was having this Jewish State.” – Dr. Daniel Gordis
