CNN recently traveled to Israel, making a point to drop by BGU’s Cyber Security Research Center (CSRC) to explore how the University is an essential component of Beer-Sheva’s cyber security ecosystem.

malware-lab“What’s unique about the Beer-Sheva ecosystem is that all of the players come together here in one concentrated environment: the investors bring the money, the students bring the ideas, the military brings the expertise, and the companies bring the interest,” says the CNN correspondent.

“At the end of the day, the high-tech industry needs employees, and we at the University are generating many engineers,” says Prof. Yuval Elovici, director of the CSRC and Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs@BGU, who is interviewed in the video.

“In fact, we are the biggest generator of cyber engineers in Israel today.”
