BGU Signs Memorandum of Understanding with USF

Jewish Press of Tampa — University of South Florida (USF) and BGU have started what will become a fruitful partnership.
USF President Dr. Judy Genshaft signed a memorandum of understanding at BGU in Beer-Sheva this month, recognizing the importance of international partnerships in providing students with a global perspective of education. This agreement establishes a collaboration between the two universities that will allow valuable exchanges of faculty and students on various research projects.

As part of a Florida trade mission to Israel, Florida Governor Rick Scott joined the visit to BGU as well, remarking that the members of the mission care about Israel.
Americans for Ben-Gurion University Greater Florida Regional Director Elise Dolgow was thrilled with the new collaboration and noted that a similar memorandum between the University of Miami (UM) and BGU was signed back in May. During this trip, that collaboration was further solidified with a research agreement signed between BGU’s Faculty of Health Sciences and UM’s medical school.
Governor Scott seeks to strengthen the relationship between Israeli and Florida institutions and business, providing Israeli businesses with a great way to enter the Latin American market.
