Prof. Edo Bar-Zeev is an associate professor at the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research at Ben-Gurion University (BGU). Prof. Bar-Zeev is an applied and environmental microbiologist, focusing on a wide spectrum of water issues during an era of global climate change and severe water scarcity. His interdisciplinary interests include: the nexus of desalination industry and the aquatic environment, the role of marine and freshwater aggregating in various biochemical cycles, and biofilm formation on various artificial surfaces to innovative cleaning approaches. Prof. Bar-Zeev received his Ph.D.in microbiology from Bar-Ilan University and his postdoc from the department of Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Yale University.
