Prof. Emeritus of the Sam and Anna Lopin Chair of Modern History, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU)
A historian of Israel and Jewish Studies and resident of Beer-Sheva, Prof. Troen’s family was tragically impacted by the atrocities of October 7. Join us as he gives background on the kibbutz communities that were destroyed and talks about the importance of rebuilding Israel from the Negev.
Prof. Troen recently published, Israel/Palestine in World Religions: Whose Promised Land? a balanced introduction to a complex subject that continues to dominate the international conversation.
