Live from Zin Valley: A Zin Fellow

Nothing beats learning about the impact of Americans for Ben-Gurion University’s Zin Fellows program than straight from a Zin Fellow!
Jon Davidov, Cohort IV, gives a great testimony (click video below) that reflects the fantastic time he had with us on the program, especially during our recent trip to BGU and the Zin Valley.
As we’ve been sharing in this issue, the Americans for Ben-Gurion University Zin Fellows Leadership Program is an in-depth immersion into the issues involving the continued development of the Negev, Israel’s southern desert region.
Each cohort consists of 15 to 20 outstanding current and future community leaders from across the United States, in their 30s to 50s.
Over two two-day seminars in the States and a week-long seminar in Israel, participants explore the Negev’s history, topography, geography, demography, and sustainability. The program’s teachers are drawn from BGU’s faculty, as well as guest speakers, from a range of disciplines.
Over the years, we’ve been delighted to see the strong group of informed leaders who come out of the program, returning home with the tools to share their passion for Israel and the Negev and inspire continued engagement with BGU in their communities.
Listen to Jon, below, share how visiting the Negev with Americans for Ben-Gurion University and learning about David Ben-Gurion’s vision for the region profoundly changed his perspective on Israel.
