NPR’s The Loh Down on Science podcast features BGU research findings from Dr. Shelly Levy-Tzedek, head of the Cognition, Aging and Rehabilitation Lab in BGU’s Department of Physical Therapy. The study finds that physically interacting with PARO, a fuzzy seal-like social robot, reduces the perception of pain.
