Dr. Ilan Dinstein, a member BGU’s Department of Psychology and the Zlotowski Center for Neuroscience since 2012, established Israel’s first neurophysiological autism lab. His research team uses neuro-imaging techniques, such as MRI and EEG, to study brain structure and function in autism patients with the goal of identifying objective biological measures for diagnosing autism. Dr. Dinstein earned his Ph.D. in neuroscience at New York University and did postdoctoral work at Carnegie Mellon University. In recognition of his achievements, Dr. Dinstein was awarded an Alon Fellowship from the Israeli Council for Higher Education and the Sieratzki Prize for Advances in Neuroscience.
