As the Zin Fellows Leadership Program continues to grow, so has our region’s participation. In Cohort I, Michele Levin was our Zin Fellow. Now, Michele and her husband Robert are assuming the chairmanship of the Philadelphia Chapter later this year. In Cohort II, Holly Nelson was our Zin Fellow. Today, she and her husband Norm are part of the illustrious group of Philadelphia Chapter associate chairs and are co-chairs of Negev Forum. Michele and Holly are members of Americans for Ben-Gurion University’s national board and, with their husbands, are Founders.

Cohort III has just completed its third and final gathering, this one in Israel. Representing our region were three outstanding young women: Jackie Needleman, Julie Savitch and Debra Zweben. Jackie and Julie will share impressions of their Zin experience at this Spring Board Meeting.

This successful Americans for Ben-Gurion University initiative is creating a community of leaders under age 50 who are committed to helping further David Ben-Gurion’s vision for Israel’s Negev region. Founding co-chairs and major benefactors of Zin Fellows are chapter officers Lisa Scheller and Wayne Woodman.
