Lynne M. Quittell, M.D. is the director of the North American office of BGU’s Medical School for International Health (MSIH). Dr. Quittell is a pediatric pulmonologist on faculty at Columbia University and has contributed to the development of clinical guidelines for cystic fibrosis. Having served as the director of Columbia’s Cystic Fibrosis Center for 20 years, she has also been on multiple national committees including the Cystic Fibrosis Center director’s committee. Dr. Quittell is associate director of the Data Safety Monitoring Board for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Dr. Rachel Pope earned her medical degree from MSIH in 2011. She completed residency in obstetrics/gynecology at University Hospitals and fellowship in global women’s health at Baylor College of Medicine. Following fellowship, she served as the medical director and head surgeon at Freedom from Fistula’s Obstetric Fistula Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi while faculty and fellowship director for Baylor’s global women’s health program. Dr. Pope resides with her family in Cleveland, Ohio, where she is the division chief of Female Sexual Health in the Urology Institute at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Aerin Philip grew up with a deep appreciation for his two older sisters who played a major role in his passion to ensure that women feel secure, heard, and supported. He exposed himself to different surroundings in the USA, Nepal and Israel to better understand challenges women face in their lives. As a prospective OB/GYN, he hopes to continue to advocate for women to meet their healthcare needs.
