Assaf Rotem, just completing his second year in the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management, is currently serving an apprenticeship at a New York City hotel. Born in Israel, he lived in Los Angeles for five years when his parents were emissaries of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He served for three years in IDF’s Intelligence Unit of the Southern Command in Beer-Sheva and spent two summers as a counselor at B’nai Brith Perlman Camp in Pennsylvania.

Tal Huberman, a native of Ramat Gan, Israel “loves living in Beer-Sheva,” where she is in her second year at BGU. After serving as a search-and-rescue commander in the military for two years, she worked at Camp Ramah Darom in Georgia as an outdoor-adventure leader. Her past work experience also includes a position at a boutique hotel in Tel Aviv, and she currently is apprenticing at a New York City hotel. In the hospitality field, Tal ultimately aspires to a senior management position.
